STEM Outreach Day

PharmaPlanter Technologies | TME Scientific Lab Facilities

TME Scientific was thrilled to welcome Grade 9 and 10 students from Prince of Wales Secondary School for a walkthrough lab experience and science outreach session. The visit offered students a glimpse into real-world research environments, including demonstrations in animal care, safety practices, and translational study design- showcasing how laboratory science connects to innovation in health and therapeutic solutions.

Our team shared insights into careers in biotechnology, pharmacology, and life sciences, highlighting the importance of curiosity, teamwork, and ethics in scientific discovery. Engaging with future scientists and innovators is a core part of TME’s mission to build a stronger local research community and inspire the next generation to explore the frontiers of biomedical science.

A big thank-you to the Vancouver Regional School Parents Board for partnering with us on this initiative- and to the students for their enthusiasm, insightful questions, and curiosity that made the day a success!

UBC DAY

PharmaPlanter Technologies | TME Scientific was honoured to take part in a series of UBC Day events, spotlighting how cutting-edge academic research is being transformed into translational and commercial impact across British Columbia’s life sciences ecosystem.

From the SBME Industry Breakfast and UBC Day: From Lab to Market to the launch of the Conconi Family Biodevice Foundry, the week underscored the growing integration of biomedical engineering, materials science, and translational therapeutics. Emerging themes included the convergence of microfabrication technologies, RNA platforms, and advanced biomaterials- each enabling faster, more predictive development of next-generation therapies and devices.

For TME Scientific, these conversations reinforced the importance of bridging discovery and application through adaptive preclinical models, biomarker development, and collaborative infrastructure. UBC’s expanding innovation ecosystem continues to demonstrate how academia and industry can co-create scalable, real-world health solutions.

10th Annual Invest in BC

PharmaPlanter Technologies | TME Scientific was proud to participate in the 10th Annual Invest in BC event, a premier gathering of Canada’s most promising life sciences ventures, investors, and strategic partners. With its focus on catalyzing funding, partnerships, and commercialization, this year’s showcase brought together a diverse array of companies ranging from next-gen therapeutics and diagnostics to AI-driven biotech and sustainable life science solutions.

We had the opportunity to engage with emerging leaders, share our company technologies platform and translational CRO capabilities, explore new collaborations aimed at accelerating the path from discovery to clinical impact. As a Vancouver-based company, we’re committed to supporting the region’s life-science ecosystem and contributing to its growth.

Gairdner Science Week 2025 – International Symposium

TME Scientific was excited to attend the Gairdner Science Week International Symposium, celebrating world-class biomedical research and the scientists driving the next wave of therapeutic innovation. This year’s program featured leaders advancing gene therapy, spatial biology, and precision immunology demonstrating how breakthrough discovery research evolves into real-world impact.

We were especially proud to support Canadian scientists contributing to the program and discussions, highlighting the strength and momentum of Canada’s life sciences community on the global stage.

From translational genomics to clinical-driven biology, the symposium reinforced the importance of cross-disciplinary collaboration- a core value at TME as we continue to support partners across translational efforts.

PBSS Workshop-Applications of Biomarkers in Drug Discovery and Development

TME Scientific was proud to attend the Vancouver-PBSS Workshop as an exhibitor, joining leading researchers and biotech professionals for a full-day exploration of biomarkers in drug discovery and clinical development. The event brought together experts from academia, biopharma, and CROs to discuss how molecular, spatial, and circulating biomarkers are transforming translational research and precision oncology.

We were especially honored to support our Scientific Advisor, Dr. Poul Sorenson, who delivered a keynote presentation on the discovery and validation of NTRK fusions as actionable therapeutic biomarkers for human cancer highlighting the crucial bridge between molecular insight and clinical application.

Throughout the day, TME’s team connected with attendees from across the BC life sciences ecosystem to exchange ideas on biomarker-driven study design, translational pharmacology, and preclinical modeling. Events like PBSS reinforce our commitment to advancing data-driven, clinically relevant research alongside our academic and industry partners.

Don Rix Distinguished Keynote Address 2025

TME was thrilled to attend Genome BC’s Don Rix Distinguished Keynote Address 2025, featuring Dr. Christopher E. Mason from Weill Cornell Medicine. Dr. Mason shared groundbreaking insights into space biology, genome engineering, and the multi-omics innovations shaping the future of human health- both on Earth and beyond.

The event brought together researchers, innovators, and life science leaders from across British Columbia to celebrate discovery and translational impact. For TME Scientific, it was an inspiring evening that underscored the power of cross-disciplinary collaboration in advancing precision medicine and next-generation therapeutics.

TME Scientific joined the life sciences community for LSBC’s Annual Summer Social at the beautiful Zymeworks office. It was a fantastic evening of reconnecting with colleagues, building new relationships, and celebrating the collaborative spirit that sets BC’s biotech ecosystem apart. Cheers to a strong start to summerand to the vibrant community driving innovation forward! We’d also like to celebrate Zymeworks’ incredible milestone - the NMPA approval of zanidatamab in China for HER2-positive biliary tract cancer. A huge achievement and a powerful reminder of the global impact BC biotech continues to make.
